L&T bags contract to build India's tallest office building in Amaravati

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged a prestigious project for the engineering, procurement and construction of Head of Department (HoD) office buildings at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. “The project has to its credit of being the first Steel Diagrid project in India, the first project in combination with Automatic Climbing Formwork System (ACFS) Et Diagrid and will be the tallest government office building in India,” said a company statement without elaborating on the height of the building. The order was awarded by the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) and the project is a fast track job to be completed within stringent timelines. The $18 billion conglomerate has also received an order for the construction of a tourism-related facility in Muscat, Oman.
