Chandigarh-based Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company Hartek Power has successfully connected two solar power projects of 28 MW to the grid for a leading solar developer in Muktsar district of Punjab.
With this, Hartek Power has become the first company to accomplish the task under Phase 2 of the state’s renewable energy policy.
Known for setting new benchmarks in quality and timely delivery over the years, Hartek Power successfully commissioned the 66/11 KV substations for the 24-MW and 4-MW solar projects well before the specified deadline.
The scope of work of these projects awarded in October included complete turnkey solutions and post-inverter works covering the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the power plants as well as electrification and installation of substations.
With the completion of these projects, Hartek Power has connected 72 MW of solar power to the grid in Punjab out of the state’s total installed capacity of about 245 MW, and is steadily inching towards the 100-MW mark.
Hailing the achievement, Hartek Group Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Hartek Singh said, “We ensure high quality standards and create immense value for our clients in terms of services and timely execution. That explains our market dominance as the fastest growing EPC company in Punjab. We have now set our eyes on the 500-MW solar projects recently awarded by the state government under the Phase 3 auction.”
Hartek Power is an integral part of India’s solar sector, having connected about 180 MW of solar power to the grid. This figure is expected to cross the 250-MW mark by the end of this financial year. The company is holding final-stage talks for executing substations for close to 200-MW solar projects in India. It recently forayed into rooftop solar, having installed 3-MW solar PV projects so far.rid in Punjab
