With a proper research in design and material, GM ceiling fan range has grown with a design aesthetic of clean lines, correct proportions and a less-is-more philosophy. We use crisp, precision metalwork by artisans with tremendous experience in the industry. Some of the products would pass through the hands of metal craftsmen, metal finishers before they are presented, to our customers.
We believe in sustainability based on the simple premise that if something is well made and beautiful it will have a long and useful life and to this end believe that by sourcing local materials and components we are supporting our environment, community and economy. We continue to follow our aspiration to provide a product that sells across the world because it satisfies a demand for high quality and that will last as a mark of fine innovation and technology.
The product design team along with the marketing team, put together a tailor made design process based on design and market understanding. Although ceiling fans have been in the industry for ages now, the challenge was to re-design a ceiling fan in a way that is proves to be better in air circulation with innovative finishes and design strokes.
With thorough brainstorming sessions to begin with, followed by analysis and research phase, where a thorough examination about the company, the market, the product, the user, trends etc. were taken into consideration. With research amongst consumers who own a ceiling fan in this part of the continent, it was found that they bought the fan for its functionality but did not think that their fan could be particularly aesthetically attractive. And that is where, we at GM, found our opportunity.
Many ideas and concepts were evaluated with several methods and refined to finally result in one concept. The final design includes functions, aesthetically aspects, construction issues, and uniqueness. The idea was to come up with a re-designed ceiling fan that is developed especially for the Indian market. The design needs to contain certain given components and own certain measurements. GM as a company has a long experience switches and automation technology. And with the advent of ceiling fans, we wanted to put together our methods of experience and technology to produce a ceiling fan with appropriate and reliable design calculations.
