Big Bloc & SCG International India JV to Manufacture ALC Blocks & Panels

Big Bloc Construction Limited announced a new partnership with SCG International India to manufacture ALC Blocks and Panels. Big Bloc will hold 52% while SCG will hold a 48% stake in the joint venture. The joint venture will manufacture and sell lightweight concrete blocks and panels with a total capacity of 2.6 million sq metres in Gujarat. The total value of the project is estimated at INR 891 million. The construction of the plant is expected to be completed in a year followed by the commercial set-up. Set up in 2015, Big Bloc Construction Limited(Big Bloc) is a leader in the construction industry in  Western India that specialises in producing building products and solutions. ALC blocks and panels are lightweight, contribute to time and cost savings by improving building efficiency and most importantly are environmentally friendly. Siam Cement Group (SCG), set up in 1913, is the oldest and largest cement and building material company in South East Asia. It has three core businesses - cement and building materials, chemicals and packaging. Speaking about the development, Narayan Saboo, Chairman, Big Bloc Construction Limited said,” We are excited to announce our collaboration with SCG which will help us to expand our product range and enter new geographies.
