Berger Paints to invest Rs 150 crore to setup plant in Sandila Industrial area near Lucknow

Berger Paints India said that it will invest Rs 150 crore to setup a plant in the Sandila Industrial area near Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The plant will have a projected capacity of two lakh KL/MT per annum. "Production of decorative paints in the pre-existing plants was not a cost effective proposition in the long – run. Hence, coming up with a new unit was highly required with the continuous market growth after the implementation of GST in the paint sector.This new plant will address product demands from the Uttar Pradesh–Bihar belt. ” said Abhijit Roy, MD & CEO, Berger Paints India. The belt was previously catered through the plants in West Bengal, Jammu & Delhi.
