Asian Paints reported an increase of 67 per cent in its net profit during the second quarter of financial year 2019-20. Its profit after tax (PAT) stooad at Rs 845.02 crore as against Rs 505.74 crore it recorded in the corresponding quarter previous year.

The company's net income was Rs 5,155.82 crore in Q2 FY20, a growth of 10 per cent from Rs 4,680.35 crore it registered in the similar quarter last year.
“The decorative business segment in India registered a high double digit volume growth, though lower than that witnessed in the first quarter. Both the segments in the home improvement category were impacted by the slowdown in the real estate construction space,” said K.B.S. Anand, managing director & CEO of the company.
