Asahi India Glass Q2FY18 consolidated net profit rises 2% yoy

Asahi India consolidated revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 625 crore, registering 5.9% yoy decline. This was primarily driven by decline in revenue from float glass and automotive glass by 9.8% yoy and 3.5% yoy. EBITDA for the quarter fell by 9.4% yoy to Rs. 107 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 66 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 17.1%. The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 39 crore, yoy increase of 2%. This was due to 13.8% yoy decline in interest expenses.
