ArchChat, world’s first communication platform for architectural collaboration related to any Residential and Commercial construction amplifies spectrum for job and internship opportunities to the young and budding architects and interior designers by 50%. ArchChat bridges this opportunity gap in the architecture industry for the newly growing architects by empowering them to enlist their layouts, designs that can be viewed by other project owners who would collaborate with them or invite them for an internship.
The gap in the architecture industry is due to lack of an organized platform and budding architects are not able to find or explore relevant jobs and internships opportunities. A comprehensive platform was missing wherein these young architects can showcase their designs and grab the attention of various recruiters and project stakeholders like project owners, interiors designers, contractors, etc.
It opens an immense opportunity for somebody who is freelancing or someone who wants to join a firm as an employee. They can list their services and besides that, everybody can post their portfolio on ArchChat. The Portfolio and the service together acts like a profile. It gets easier to look for jobs when you show your services and portfolios, even outside India.
Speaking about introducing this new feature for its users, Principal Designer and Founder of Archchat, Chetan K. Singh stated, “As the unemployment rate for Architects in around 14%, ArchChat will be able to provide opportunities to 50% of Architects who are freshers in the market. ArchChat comes out to be nurturing platform where these young lads can showcase their designs and it gets visible to a huge number of Project Stakeholders like Project Owners, Contractors, etc. And, more importantly, with this platform, it will not only enable aspiring and budding interior designers from Tier I cities, but also freelancers and aspirants from Tier II and III cities to connect with the right audience. For these young people, opportunities can come from anywhere across the world from countries like UAE, Singapore, Russia, Italy, etc.”
The architecture industry in India is on the verge of an explosive growth which can be duly credited to the construction boom. With a high number of students graduating with degrees in architecture, strong competition for internships and jobs has been witnessed. Undergraduate architecture students are reportedly facing 13.9 percent unemployment rates.
The platform built on Amazon Web Services is a B2B2C approach to streamline collaboration between architects and clients to have everyone on the same page and cut down project timeline by 20%. Unlike other messaging platforms, the conversations on Archchat are 100% private amongst people who are communicating on any specific project. Being free to every user, only those people can join the conversations who are invited to communicate on a specific project.
