India’s Ambuja Cements Ltd reported an 89% jump in quarterly profit, helped by higher cement sales volume.
Standalone profit rose to Rs. 338 crore ($52.2 million) in the fourth quarter ended 31 December, from Rs. 179 crore a year earlier.

Standalone profit rose to Rs. 338 crore ($52.2 million) in the fourth quarter ended 31 December, from Rs. 179 crore a year earlier.
Standalone cement sales volume rose to 5.87 million tonnes in the quarter, from 5 million tonnes in the same period last year.Net quarterly sales rose 19% to Rs. 2,612 crore.
